Modelme

Let me first say, I hope everyone had a brilliant christmas, and also happy new year when it comes!

The past two weeks I have been min-storming new ideas and looks to shoot in 2012 and so far I have about 5 A4 pages of bulletpoints on ideas I want to try, so any photographers/make up artists/ stylists/ hair stylists interested in getting involved can contact me via email- sophierobertson2010@live.co.uk

This year has been AH-MAZING for me, I worked with many talented people and appeared in many catwalks and got some brilliants shots too! I was on THE HOUR show and had a total transformation from light blonde to dark brown hair (which Im happy to say has been one of the best moves ive made- so thank you Leo from the Rainbowroom). My hopes for 2012 is to continue working with all these talented people, get my portfolio up and also get my name noticed in the Scottish modelling industry and also try a few new and big things!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

My greatest role model!

Well this blog im going to tell you all about my greatest role model- my mum!

From the age of 20 my mum was in the media spotlight as one ot the greatest Disco dancers to ever represent Scotland in the disco dancing circuit, she had an AH-MAZING career and travelled to some really unusual places to dance. By the age of 24 my mum had came 4th in the WORLD
CHAMPIONSHIPS for disco dancing, impressive or what?! ALSO in the past two years my mum was on ITV'S best and worst dance moments (her obviously being in the best section), honestly have never been so proud of anyone my full life!

My mum is honestly my biggest role model in life, she is the one that has helped me the most these past two years, running me back and forward to shoots, castings, and so on and sat at every show in the front row cheering me on. My mum has always supported every decision and move I have made within the modelling industry- (aswell as being my personal trainer). I am truly blessed to have this AMAZING women in my life, she plays a role model so many different person and she truly is by far the most special person ever to me!

Would just like to share with you all about my greatest role model in life, if I ended up half the person my mum is at her age, I would be extremely chuffed!

Enjoy the read!

modelme

Well the last three weeks have been a total nightmare for me, but im back on track and recovering quickly now so hopefully be back to my normal wee self in the next week :)!

Recently been down in the dumps because ive not been able to do any shoots and been stuck in bed, BUT last night I recieved one of the NICESTTTTT emails saying I was a role model to someone and they are thrilled at how well ive done for myself in the modelling industry, honestly picked me up BIG TIME!
Throughout my last two years in the industry I've had a lot of negative comments from people my age about me doing the modelling, but my moto in life is "use every negative comment/experience as a positive and show them that they're totally wrong", this is EXACTLY what I've done for myself... not everyones going to agree with you so just have to make the most of it and have fun while your at it!

The past two years modelling have been like a whirlwind for me, Ive been on TV screens above central station to gaining national publicity about being the youngest to ever be shortlisted for the Miss Scotland. I have set my targets for next year and where I would like my modelling to be a year from now, so BIG CHANGES will be happening very soon and the bar will be raised for me yet again :)!

Peace out

Inspiration!

After being in bed ill for two weeks, Im feeling extrememly INSPIRED! I have sat for days on end and thought up what could be my 'next look' in my portfolio and have came up with page fulls, so watch this space in the next few weeks!

I usually get extremely inspired by vogue images and often want to re-create a certain image but with different elements and a different edge to the picture and obviously create some eye- grabbing work whilst im at it! Below is one im DYING to re-create and try with an edge!

So apart from that, I have some EXTREMELY exciting projects coming up with some amazing photographers and make up artists! I also have some BIG castings coming up over the winter period, just hope im actually better so I can make them! Also have the mission to re-vamp my full portfolio again, so that should be fun, fun, fun!

General about modelling!

Throughout my time within the fashion industry I have had many experiences and learned what it takes to be top-standards.. I have had the pleasure of walking the catwalk with some AMAZING models which I aspire to be like when im older! I have had the greatest pleasure of working with some brilliant photographer's such as Stuart Campbell, Adam Coats, Kristen Mitchell and many more, I have also had the chance to work with EXTREMELY talented make up artists such as Ashley Thomson, Jacqui Connor and lot's of other's!

Trying to break into the industry at 16 was certainly a VERY hard thing to do, I have had such brilliant support from family and friends that it made the battle seem a little more copable! Modelling is seen as a very glamourous thing to do, but believe me sometimes it is very much the opposite- I was doing a shoot in a snow blizzard at the start of the my modelling stage and I had to be in the snow with NO jacket or blanket and only had a simple dress and boots on...BRRRRRRRRRR! The pics turned out AWESOME however and one even ended up on the massive TV screen above Grand Central Train Station in Glasgow!

Although the modelling part of my life is usually a little on the crazy side, I seriously LOVE it and wouldn't stop for the world! I have met so many talented individuals within my time modelling and hope to keep getting the pleasure of working with them! Being only 18 gives me the time factor to progress at a nice rate, YETTTT I still have my sights set high and have extremely large ambitions that many would find crazy but in the words of Beiber "NEVER SAY NEVER" ahaha!

First Blog

Well guys this is my very FIRST one of these, so kind of stuck with what to write!

Guess i'll start of with telling about the MODELLING PART of my life... I've been in the modelling circuit for a year and eight months now, It all started in 2010 when I was signed by Superior Model Management a the age of sixteen, a week after I was EXREMELY blessed as I made the 'MISS SCOTLAND SHORTLIST' and recieved a lof of publicity including national papers such as;

The Daily Record, The Daily Times, and The Daily Mail.

Since last March I have made an extreme progress within my modelling career by being in Runway shows such as; House of Fraser Autumn/Winter Collection, GSA, CFS, Inspire the Attire, and many other and have had the chance to wear some STUNNING clothes for designers such as Vivienne Westwood, Dior, Biba, Fendi and many more.

I have also had the greatest pleasure working with so many talented people within the industry! Ive worked with lots of photographers, make up artists, hair stylists, and stylists and picked up different things from every single shoot I've done due to trying to make myself a better model! The picture below is one of my favourite shoots to date with a MASSIVE up and coming photographer by the name of ADAM COATS, this boy is definetily going places very soon with his work!
